Industrial Auction Attracts National Interest
In a major auction that is attracting national interest, nine hundred lots of machinery, tools, equipment and spares are to go under the hammer at one of Fabricom Contracting Limited’s facilities in Immingham next week.
The sale’s been ordered as part of an upgrading of the company’s 18 acre site on Middleplatt Road in the town.
Paul Cooper, of North Lincs-based industrial auctioneers CJM Asset Management who are handling the sale, said: “The project has resulted in a considerable quantity of surplus equipment and stores being identified and these are to be auctioned off on the site on Tuesday.”
“The company provides a wide engineering, construction and specialist services to customers in the oil and gas, chemical, power generation and processing industries. The equipment reflects that.”
“It’s a pretty big sale. We’ve got kit ranging from heavy duty power tools to lifting gantries.”
“The star lots include two JCB telehandlers that we’re expecting to make £7,000 - £10,000 each.”
“There’s a considerable quantity of stores . . . everything from transformers, machinery spares and garage equipment to access cages, festoon lighting and site storage lockers.”
“The auction will also include a lot of surplus steel, in various forms, mot to mention a quantity of concrete and timber pilings and a large quantity of concrete bollards.”
Paul added: “This is one of the largest on-site industrial auctions in the area for several years and we’re expecting it to attract a lot of interest. We are getting enquiries not only from the UK but also from abroad, including from as far away as India.”
