The entire contents of a Beverley restaurant . . . from the cookers to the remaining supplies of bottled water . . . are to go under the auctioneers hammer next week following the collapse of the business.

Wednesdays, a bistro-style restaurant on Wednesday Market, closed its doors for the last time two months ago. Now liquidator Jacksons Jolliffe Cork of Hull have instructed industrial auctioneers CJM Asset Management to dispose of the business’s equipment and furnishings.

Everything’s to go under the hammer in an auction at the CJM premises on Brigg Road in Scunthorpe next Tuesday (21st June).

CJM director Paul Cooper said: “In all we have around a hundred lots from the restaurant, ranging from all the kitchen equipment to the restaurant furniture, plus all the crockery and glassware.”

“We even have the remaining supplies of bottled water . . . Harrogate Spa for the aficionados!”

“The most valuable lots are the commercial-size cookers, and fridges, some of which could make up to a thousand pounds, but there’s also some good restaurant furniture, including wicker chairs and farmhouse-style tables, that should do well.”

Tuesday’s sale will also see three refrigerated vehicles from a failed Bridlington company, Thompson Packing and Mailing Limited, auctioned off.

Paul said: “The company went into liquidation last week. These vehicles have come from the cake distribution arm of the business. There are two Citroen relay vans and a Citroen C15.”

In all the next Tuesday’s sale extends to over 1,000 lots. The viewing sessions are on Monday (20th June) 1-7pm and on Tuesday morning from 8.30 am until the start of the sale at 10 am. Catalogues are available from CJM or can be downloaded free of charge from the firm’s website: www.cjmasset.com
