Charles Moses FRICS
Managing Director

Charles Moses has been
Managing Director of CJM Asset Management since its inception 6
years ago. Charles, 54, originally trained as an Agricultural Auctioneer & Valuer,
leaving the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester in 1974 following
a 3 year diploma in Estate Management. He qualified as a Chartered
Surveyor in 1976 and became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of
Chartered Surveyors in 1984. After joining Dickinson Davy & Markham
to hone his auctioneering skills, Charles became involved in the
valuation and sale of industrial and commercial assets in the early
1980s acting for a number of local and national insolvency practitioners.
By the late 1980s Charles was involved totally in the valuation
and sale of industrial chattel assets and founded DDM Asset Management,
Industrial Auctioneers, as a part of the DDM Group. The business
grew rapidly over the following decade and the client base expanded
to include Industrial Finance Houses, High Street Banks and regional
and local businesses. In 2000 Charles and his fellow director Paul
Cooper, bought out the business of DDM Asset Management to form
CJM Asset Management, a specialist firm of Industrial Auctioneers
and Asset Valuers. Since the business was established, CJM Asset Management has
grown into a global player in the sale and valuation of industrial
assets, negotiating sales for UK based and overseas clients in
China, India, Europe and the USA. Completed instructions
include projects for Dyson Limited, Outokumpu Stainless Limited,
Procter & Gamble, Siemens, Corus, Timken, Silentnight Group, Lombard
Asset Finance Group and ING. Charles is married with 3 children
and lives in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Paul Cooper BSc Econ MRICS
Operations Director
After graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Banking & Finance,
Paul started his auctioneering career with a firm of Fine Art Auctioneers. Having qualified in Fine Arts with the Incorporated Society of
Valuers and Auctioneers, he decided a on a change of direction
and joined Charles Moses at Industrial Auctioneers DDM Asset Management.
Paul thrived in the world of Industrial Auctioneering and quickly
passed all the necessary examinations under the auspices of the
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, winning the Henry Butcher
Prize for Applied Valuation two consecutive years. Some years later
Paul and Charles Moses bought out DDM Asset Management from the
DDM Group to form CJM Asset Management. In the years since its
formation Paul has worked hard to make CJM Asset Management a leading
player in global asset sales and valuation. Paul is married with
2 children and lives in rural Lincolnshire.
